Goals and Objectives
I currently maintain my own online portfolio, for both professional and personal use, and hope to turn my design-related skills into a career in the near future. I studied film at York University in the 2007-2008 year, returning home afterwards to continue building work experience in my field. I have had several intensive design positions since, and plan on returning to university to continue my studies as a Bachelor of Design.

Work Experience
May 2010 – Present: Six Degrees Muskoka
Job Title: Animator; Lead Editor; Course Instructor
Duties Include: Assisting in animation of short films and cartoon series; creating the final draft of said short films with sound & music, exporting video; and assisting in our summer animation program for children 7 – 17, teaching them basic animation skills using our flagship animation program, Toon Boom Studio.
Notable Work: Assisted in creating almost all animations in the cartoon series ‘Tondakea’, and creating its website: http://www.tondakea.tv
April 2009 – April 2010: Muskoka Outfitters
Job Title: Marketing Designer
Duties Include: Graphic & webdesign, print advertisements, signage, assisting in pricing & sales
Notable Work: Created highly-identifiable logos for the cycling and watersports departments, Remedy Bike and Rhythm Boardshop.
2006 – Present: Freelance design & photography work under the ‘kyol’ business brand.
Volunteer Experience
Summer 2008: Helped local fashion designer Anne Hopkins assemble and perform a fashion show in Muskoka, Ontario, entitled ‘Naked in Muskoka’. It presented various custom-made fashion pieces, along with various student work from the local area. Photographic and web-related work was done for Anne and her colleagues.
School year 2007-2008: Assisted in the Helping Hands program, a student-run organization for delivering food and clothing to known homeless areas and homeless shelters.
School years 2001-2005: Actively involved in the design and upkeep of the Bracebridge & Muskoka Lakes Secondary School website.
